May 17th 2001. We hugged goodnight like we always did. Only this hug lasted a big longer and he held me a bit tighter. And I got butterflies in my stomach. He left and I floated on in to my Mom. "I like him, I know I do".

We texted for the next 3 days while he was away on a Six Flags trip. I kept mentioning that hug.....

June 2001
Three days later, May 20th, he came home and brought me a froggy he won. A really nice quality frog that has Velcro on it's hands and feet....so it can hug you :) He asked to hold my hand. I said yes. I knew that day I was going to marry him.

This morning I woke up to a box with a little wind up froggy, froggy earrings, froggy gummies. And Tommy Girl. The perfume I wore in high school. I sprayed it on and wow....talk about flashback. I love that scents do that.

These past 10 years have been more incredible and amazing than I could have ever imagined. We've been through a lot
church drama

friends leaving

friends abandoning

family drama

family hurts

surgeries

sickness

loss of grandparents

loss of a dear friend

job changes

our firstborn

loss of our baby

the twins

And we are closer than ever, we communicate better than ever, we love each other more than ever and I cannot wait for the next 10 years....there is no one I would rather be spending my life with. I am so thankful he rescued me. He still gives me those butterflies......
