I’m joining Kristen at We Are That Family to share my labor stories!
How long were your labors?
Jack: 13 hours. But that was from the time my water broke at 3:30am and when I pushed him out at 4:47pm, not too shabby. Went fast!
C&C: 0. C-sectionHow did you know you were in labor?
Jack: My water broke and the contraction started. Pretty easy to tell :)
C&C: I never was.Where did you deliver?
About 15 minutes away at our hospital :)Drugs?
Jack: Um yes. Ain't nobody win a prize for not having drugs! I made it to 6cm with Jack and then asked for the lovely epidural and I was so glad I did.
C&C: Yeah....c-section means drugs. Lots of them.
C-section?
Jack: Nope, loved my labor and delivery! Especially after that epidural! :)C&C: Yes, unfortunately. Camden was breech and Christian was transverse so there was no option. I hated it. I puked the entire surgery, except for the two moments when they pulled the boys out. I was so heavily medicated that I was out of it after. And I was beyond exhausted, but couldn't sleep...for like 3 days. It was awful, and it took almost 6 months for my abdomen to not be tender, and at times it STILL is. Hated it, but glad it got my boys out safe!
Who delivered?
My amazing OB Dr. Dan Tomlinson. Incredible man of God and an incredible OB! Wouldn't go to anyone else! How about you? Celebrate “Labor Day” by sharing your story!
This was so interesting to read! Congrats on getting through that C-section! ...I'm due this Saturday and hoping & PRAYING that it'll go smoothly... it amazes me how each mom has her own unique experience in labor and delivery. I've heard so many great stories and an equal number of horrific labor stories.
